The Place
This week on my Monmouth Street brunch tour I am visiting Sis's on Monmouth. This is another casual spot and they serve breakfast until 4PM. I previewed the menu prior to arriving and they appeared to have some great diner-style picks. Also, they have a fully stocked bar. I am hoping for some AM cocktail review redemption since I have been 0/2 on my previous brunch spots on Monmouth. No coffee or water this morning, I am keeping my fingers crossed for some bubbles.
Location & Parking
Sis's is located more towards the southern portion of Monmouth. I snagged an available free on-street parallel park. Free parking is available all up and down both sides of Monmouth which is a one way street. No reservations required.
Atmosphere
I would describe the atmosphere as a local pub type of a vibe. The decor is rustic with exposed brick, wood floors, and plenty of day light shines in through the store front. There is table, booth, and bar seating. Staff were friendly and outgoing. You seat yourself upon entering. Sis's do not have a drink menu per say, but they gladly made me a Mimosa on request. The Mimosa was great! It came out in a filled to the brim wine glass and had a great bubbles to orange juice ratio!

Order-Up
Steak & Eggs
I ordered the Steak & Eggs. This dish consisted of a 6oz Ribeye (medium-rare) with two eggs (I ordered over easy), hashbrowns, and toast. (I went with wheat). This was the epitome of a well-rounded breakfast an extremely hungry individual would enjoy! Steak was well seasoned, eggs were cooked to perfection, hashbrowns were crisp. Toast is toast. It came out buttered and they didn't burn it.
Goetta & Cheese Omelet
My friend ordered the Goetta & Cheese Omelet with a side of fruit. Omelet was nice and fluffy, Goetta and cheese had great flavor. Fruit was fresh and made a nice compliment to this dish.
Overall Experience
The overall experience at Sis's was wonderful. Service was prompt, atmosphere was laid back, food was delicious. This was a nice breakfast chill spot for a Saturday morning. One thing I love about these places on Monmouth is you can drop in to any of these establishments anytime without feeling the pressure of having a reservation. You can enjoy a great brunch here for 10 to 20 dollars. By the way if you will only spend close to 20 if you get an AM cocktail.
Rating: 4⭐
Sis's on Monmouth gets 4 stars! One for each category: Atmosphere, Service, AM Cocktail, and Plate. Price-wise I would say out of all the places I have reviewed Sis's has the greatest value for what you pay for and what you get in return. My favorite part of my meal was my extra large Mimosa. They also serve lunch, dinner, and have live music. All good reasons to come back for another visit!
