The Place

It's time for another destination brunch! I just returned from Boston, Massachusetts and will be reviewing a restaurant from an east coast chain called Pressed. If you are ever visiting Massachusetts or New Hampshire it's an easy convenient casual spot to pop into and they pride themselves on serving breakfast all day.

Location

Pressed is located on Billerica Rd in Chelmsford, MA a suburb about 24 miles outside of Boston. Since we are in the burbs there is ample convenient lot parking. This location also offers a drive-thru which is a rare find for a breakfast restaurant of this caliber. There is another location in downtown Boston as well on Huntington Ave. No reservation required.

Atmosphere

This spot has a squeaky clean industrial feel with lots of subway tile and shiny concrete floors. You walk up to the counter, place and pay for your order. They also have a full service coffee bar located to the side of the registers and traditional bar (this is where you get your mimosas) in the front of the restaurant. Their all day breakfast menu is fairly sizeable. Menu items consist of a large array of breakfast burritos (option to have each one served bowl style), sandwiches, healthy oatmeal/fruit options, and fresh pastry style items. My friend and I placed our orders. You're provided an order number sign for your table and you seat yourself. Once your food is ready it is delivered to your table. Seating selections include elevated booth, dispersed table/chair, bar, and outdoor patio seating. The staff was friendly and the service ran efficiently. I had a Mimosa, only downside was I had to walk over to the bar to order the Mimosa and bring it back to our table. With that being said, the mimosa was delicious. Great champagne to juice ratio...lots of bubbles!

Order-Up

French Burrito Bowl

The French Burrito Bowl consisted of eggs, goat cheese, potato, spinach, tomato, red peppers, caramelized onions, and grilled chicken. This breakfast bowl had great presentation and I loved the variety of fresh ingredients. The overall flavor was a little bland to me, I think a bit of seasoning could have fused the flavors of the bowl together.

Firecracker Burrito Bowl

My friend ordered the Firecracker Burrito Bowl made with eggs, boursin spread, potato, grilled chicken, avocado, and served with a house made hot sauce. She lives in Westford, Massachusetts and has previously dined at this restaurant. This was the first time she ordered this version of the breakfast burrito bowl and was overall pleased with her choice. She also ordered a blueberry muffin which was fresh and had great texture.

Overall Experience

The overall experience at Pressed was great. It was convenient, atmosphere was upbeat, staff were cordial and worked efficiently, food and drink were good. You can expect to spend ten to twenty dollars for breakfast.

Rating 3.5 ⭐

Pressed receives a 3.5 star rating. One star for Atmosphere, Service, and Morning Cocktail. They receive half a star for Plate due to the blandness of the French Burrito Bowl. I would recommend this as a family friendly place to visit if you are in the Boston area with a great variety of breakfast/brunch/lunch items.
