The Place

Welcome to the first post in my Special Event category! I will not have consecutive posts in this category but instead it will serve as an area to place unique brunch experiences and to keep you on your toes...wink...wink. When my friend contacted me regarding this amazing brunch opportunity, I couldn't resist. The Cincinnati Art Museum hosted a Drag Brunch to celebrate it's Art in Bloom exhibit. Which included gorgeous decorative floral arrangements made by floral artists that were inspired by and displayed with real works of art.

Location & Parking

The Cincinnati Art Museum is located in Eden Park on Eden Park Drive. Very easy to get to from North or South 71 and from 471 get off on Columbia Parkway at Martin Drive or Kemper Lane. The Cincinnati Art Museum has it's own free parking lot and there is free on street parking throughout Mt. Adams. The parking lot did fill up quickly for this special event.

Atmosphere

First of all the museum itself is gorgeous, add in floral displays and colorful drag queens

and you have an atmosphere that is an absolute blast! The drag brunch was held in The Great Hall of the Art Museum, which is known for its beautiful balcony with double spiral staircase. The tables were decorated with vases of vibrant feathers. Light up rings, bracelets, necklaces, and sunglasses were included on the table in case you were not feeling as fabulous enough already. There were two bars located on each side of the hall serving up the breakfast cocktail classics: mimosas and bloody marys. The event was hosted by The Lady Phaedra and included four other performers as well. Each performer had a unique style accompanied by a coordinating over the top energy. Performance were inspired by iconic pop starts such as Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, and Dolly Parton.

Order-Up

Buffet Style Brunch

This brunch was served buffet style and included all the essential brunch staples such as biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, pastries, and fruit. For a catered style brunch everything was delicious and prepared very well.

Overall Experience

The overall experience was excellent! Tickets for this event were $75 dollars per person which included two drink tickets. At this price you got great cocktails, an amazing show, and a great brunch! I can honestly say I truly got my money's worth.

Recommend: Yes or No?

YES! If you are looking something fun to do on a Sunday morning this truly knocks it out of the park! I heard The Lady Phaedra will be hosting Wigs and Waffles at the Rhinegeist Brewery on June 9th if you would like to have a great breakfast and see these lovely ladies in action!
